Help withd displaying posts

    I want to do the following.
    Something similar is done on ZENKO magazine theme (http://www.wpzoom.com/zenko/demo/).

    You see the green part on the demo “Business»”. I want to do that.
    My idea was to create two divs and inside one (left) i would show only the last news, and on the other (right) some amount of news (2 or more) that were posted before.

    I know how to show the last post from a certain category, but that other part is bugging me. My idea is to show the last three news, except the latest one (because it is already shown on the left side), but i don’t know how to take out that latest news from the listing.

    So, the bottom line is that i need a code that will show some amount of news EXCEPT the last one posted (in a certain category, offcourse).
