Press This issues (keeps adding <p> and no quicktags)

Hi all

I’ve managed to continue using Press It will my latest 2.9 update and was disappointed that I had to start using Press This instead. I don’t know if I’m missing the point or doing something wrong but it seems that when I use it the link is separated with <p> and </p>, which I have to remove because I don’t need or want it. Also, as there are no quicktags I’m unable to add any customisable data as I usually do (I have a quicktag button that adds [<a href="">via</a>]) so the whole thing slows me down quite a lot.

Does anyone know of a workaround? Maybe a press it type plugin or a code hack? Maybe some of you use a different way of setting up posts than may and would like to share your technique?
