   I realized that my blog running WordPress 1.5.1.2 can receive pingbacks and trackbacks. However it cannot send them to anyone including its own posts!

   What's going on?

   I thought all such problems have been addressed with 1.5.12.

   Any help?

   Have you used Pingomation to test it out? If you've already done that, you can also try submitting a bug report at WordPress Trac.

   Yes. I can receive but not send.

   Are you sending trackbacks manually, or are you using the auto-pingback?

   Bryan cannot manually send trackbacks, nor can he automatically send pingbacks.

    Well technically, I can't send pingbacks. I can send trackbacks. ;)

    May I suggest until all of the bugs are fixed, or you get it to work (which I can't in WP 1.5), doing them manually? It's sucks to have to do that yes, but so far it works for me.

    I can't send both trackbacks and pingback either... I can receive them from outside sources (http://www.redalt.com/External/pingomation.php). But when I use my wordpress blogs I am unable to send them to other wordpress blogs in use by me. Is there a solution yet?

    If everyone experiencing this problem would please add a note to this bug report, it would help to raise its priority: http://trac.wordpress.org/ticket/1423

    The login for Trac is your WordPress Support Forum username and password.

    This might seem stupid, so dont tear me apart...but I had the same problem and found that spam karma had caught the trackbacks. When i approved them, then they worked. Just thought i'd share in case anyone had this particular problem.

    p.s. using wp1.5.2 with spk2

    Not a problem, Flakkito. That's generally my first suspicion, but the users here are having trouble sending trackbacks/pingbacks. They can receive them with no problems. But, thanks for sharing. ^_^

    Can it be a server-problem since I also have difficulties with my RSS (except for on my local XAMPP website running on Mac OS X)?

    I solved the problem of sending pingback and trackback with 1.5.1.2 on my blog.

    Anyone mananged to sort this out yet?

    I'm really having problems with trackback and it doesn't seem like anyone knows how to resolve these issues...
