• ok, so i’m running the latest WP version (1.5.1) and i experienced the following problem with the “posts_nav_link” feature:

    the wordpress address is: thelastbeat.com/blog
    the blog address is: thelastbeat.com

now when i open my page the first time and try to click on the “previous entries” link, i get a 404 error, because it wants to access /thelastbeat.com/blog/page/2/.

when i enter the admin panel, and view my blog after that (same browser window), the link becomes /thelastbeat.com/page/2/, and it is working.

so obviously it is using the wordpress address first instead of the blog address.
i haven’t found a solution so far in here. someone said that it is a bug in 1.5, but i’m running 1.5.1 and getting this problem….is there a way of entering the correct address somewhere manually?

    thanks in advance.

  • The “latest” is 1.5.1.2.

true, but i thought 1.5.1.2 simply corrects a security bug within the default theme and nothing else, so i don’t think this has to do with my problem?

Yes, but v1.5.1.1 corrects your previous/next problem.

    alright.
upgraded to 1.5.1.2, but still the same problem: it links to the thelastbeat.com/blog/page/2 instead of the root

ok, i discovered even more right now:

when i enter thelastbeat.com, the links are working correct.
but when i enter thelastbeat.com/blog, which also points to the blog, it links to this path instead of the blog address.

is this the way it is?
i guess i can just update all my links to point to thelastbeat.com and it should work then.
