*Looking for Help* A P2 Theme Hack needed for the Haiti Situation Room

I’m from Ushahidi, we’re running the information hub for Haiti at http://haiti.ushahidi.com – this is a collaborative effort with individuals all over the world.

Background
I set up p2 the other day to use as our Situation Room for important updates. It’s main purpose is to be the go-to place for tech community waking up around the world after a few hours sleep to come up to speed quickly on what’s been done so they can start helping quickly.

Need
P2 has been almost the perfect tool for these real-time and quick updates. The problem is, when you come to the page for the first time and have been gone for hours, you don’t know which posts have been updated with comments.

Can someone create a plugin that would allow the post with the most recent comments to float to the top? Basically, this would mean the most recent post, or the post with the most recent comment would always be at the top.
