    I am setting up a WordPress blog at http://www.marinersmexico.com/blog/ and I’m perplexed by the #page background image disappearing on the search results page. In Firebug, when I mouse over the path to the background image (right hand lower pane), I see that Firebug can see the image. When I open any other page side by side and compare the #page css (say on a date archive page compared to the search results page), the attributes are the same. The background image works on all pages except for the search results page. HTML and CSS both validate. Who has a clue?

  • do you have a search.php?

    compared with the other pages, the search page seems to be missing:

    <div style="clear: both;">&nbsp;</div>

    before the

    </div>
    	<!-- end page -->

    have a closer look 😉

    That was really helpful; that clearing div indeed fixed it. Thank you alchymyth! For future reference, this site is based on the ” molded ” theme, apparently the molded theme search.php page lacks a necessary <div> as cited above.
