    ,
I need some help. I have a hosted WordPress site, http://www.briantinsley.com and I help people out who have had aortc dissections, myself included. I have decided my life since I got a second chance to helping others. I was combing my http://www.aorticdissection.com site in with my personal blog. I had just been using a new WP them and decided to try some other WOO theme called Bueno. Well, from the admin window, I switched Themes and then when I went to look at it, I am getting this message:
Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in /home/brian/www/www/wp-content/themes/bueno/includes/theme-widgets.php on line 123

I just want to go back to another them that was working. I am willing to pay a small fee if someone can help me. I have many readers that come to my site to get help about their AorticDissection issues.

Would somoene please help me get back to where I can change to a different theme?
I tried this guys recommendation, but it didn’t work either:

    Thanks,

  • Just delete the themes folder inside wp-content/themes

Your site should then revert back to the default theme and work normally again. Then you can activate the theme you had before.

That DID NOT WORK!!! I ONLY now have the DEFAULT theme in themes folder. I deleted all the other themes.

I need to find someone who can help me here!

Can you login to the WORDPRESS dashboard?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t get into my site period. Ever since I switched THEME via the WOrdpress dashboard, this POS them woo Bueno gives me that error message. No when I type http://www.briantinsley.com nothing comes up.

I am so mad I could scream! I have been trying to get this resolve for 5+ hours now and not one person seems to ahve that answer anywhere!

I would pay for the fixing of this too!

Well I am trying to help so ranting at me isn’t going to encourage me!

The error that you are getting:

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in /home/brian/www/www/wp-content/themes/bueno/includes/theme-widgets.php on line 123

is looking for a function in the theme that you mention (Bueno) therefore if you have definately deleted that theme from the wp-content/themes/ folder it should not longer be a problem.

Backup your database first. The try downloading a copy of WordPress 2.9.1 and following the instructions for a manual upgrade with one exception. Copy the default theme folder within the download archive to your wp-content/theme folder.

no no dont do that do you access to the Mysql database?, if so under there you can see options for the theme currently chosen and just change the name to a defult theme that you know you have installed, let me know whats going on as off now and i can see what i can do for you

well looks like your site is up and running fine from my view.. hope everything is fine now, also great site for helping others with such a thing i hope this reaches out and helps others, what rank are you in google by the way when you type the diagnosis etc. lemme know if you want pointers on how to gte to the top 10 on a search

g’day I uploaded a new theme now i get this message

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in /home/hostit/public_html/wp-content/themes/irresistible/functions/admin-custom-nav.php on line 1987

have tried accessing Mysql database as suggested above but there does not seem to be a option to select to change themes.

Can’t access my site or wp-admin page and not sure where to go from here as new to WordPress, please can anyone help!

    thanks Nick

Access your site via FTP or STFP and navigate to /wp-content/themes/ . Once there, rename every directory except /default/ . This will for the Default theme to activate and you should be able to access your blog and the admin panel.

thanks a lot that worked fine now back in. Is the reason the fatal error due to the theme not being compatible with the version of WP being run? thanks again.

More than likely, the theme was either incompatible with your version of WordPress or had a conflict with an active plugin.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_theme_support() in /home/sunonsn1/public_html/sos/wp-content/themes/snowblind/functions.php on line 867
