hi thanks for the reply. I’ve checked options but i did not see any option to enable plugin slideshow only settings. do i need to change permission of any specific file to put slideshow to work?

I’m having the same problem. Even when I enter the correct path into the “Path to the Imagerotator” setting, the option just goes away and doesn’t stick.

    i’m having the same issue…help!

    Same issue..

Me too! Imagerotator is in correct path and identified and yet all I get is the “spinning star” – slideshow won’t load, though single pics can still be displayed by clicking on that option. I need to reload my old NextGen version until we can sort this out!

Same problem here. I’m using WordPress 2.8.5, can’t upgrade to 2.9.1 because then a few important plugins don’t work anymore. I upgraded Nexgen-Gallery to the latest version and now the slideshow-widget only shows the ‘spinning star’ as mentioned above.

Is there a way to downgrade Nextgen Gallery?

Please help, the slideshow was a nice extra on my website.

    Kind regards,
    André.

if somebody post a link for demo it may help…

    Hi Alex,
i’ve placed the slideshow widget on the left sidebar:

    http://www.stonehengefestival.nl

You can see there’s only the ‘spinning star’.

Thanx for your time and help. 🙂
    Kind regards,
    André.

after upgrading to the latest version of wordpress, the galleries stop working.
When clicking on a’n image, you just sea the enlarged images, not a gallery anymore

    Any help would be great!

i think the problem is caused by THICKBOX, but i still don’t know what to do about it.

when i use SHUTTER, it works fine.
Although Shutter blows-up the images that big, that the navigation is falling of the page.
And the navigation of Thickbox is more suitable that Shutter, but oke.

So if anyone has een solution for the Shutter-size problem, then i’m happy as well.

    Bonjour,
I think that I have the same problem (like I use WordPress for the first time, I’m not sure).
Here my example: http://www.bao-bab.eu/wordpress/?cat=3&lang=fr (first steps of construction).
The error message say that I should have a flash player (ok, I do have one) and that my browser should accept Javascript (ok, it does).
    Thanks!
    Bocq

    @alexrabe:
I’ve put the slideshow-widget offline because it looks stupid when it’s not working. If you want me to put it up again, just let me know.

    Kind regards,
    André

Sorry, I found my answer in an older FAQ-page:
    http://alexrabe.de/wordpress-plugins/nextgen-gallery/faq/
The plugin did not work because the code <?php wp_head(); ?> was missing between the head-Tags of my index document.

    Hello Alex,

I’ve been patiently waiting for a fix here – I was hoping someone might have figured out the bug that keeps slideshows from showing after the upgrade to WP 2.9.1 I’ve downgraded to an older version of NextGen to keep it working but I’d like to stay current with your updates.

This seems like a fairly significant issue as the slideshows are such a popular component of this plugin.

Can we expect a fix to this anytime soon? Is it on anyone’s radar?

Thanks – I know you have time demands as this is not your full-time gig.

    Greg
