• Everything is in the title :
Each time I publish a new article, the first thing that appears in Google Search results is the date of the post.
I don’t understand what could be the cause or where to look at.
My blog address is : sameliorer.com
An example of search from Google

It is especially annoying because my content is not really time specific.

If any body as an idea to help me it will be really much appreciated

    Thanks
    Guillaume

  • Looks like Google is picking up dates from the comments or trackbacks on the single post pages. Perhaps because these are the only dates on the pages?

    Thanks for answering. 🙂
Any idea how I could remove that?

I guess I could remove the comments date but that would be a little extreme as it is useful information for my readers.

Actually now that I think about it the dates appears in every post URL (the URL is website/year/month/day/title). I have no way to change that without having to do redirects for all my previous posts, am I correct?

    Actually, I’m just thinking

Google is taking this from your feed or sitemap, probably.

I just figured out how to remove it and blogged about the same. Basically, you have to mask the date via image date logic or javascript so that Google wouldn’t pick if for indexing.
