I want something to appear on the sidebar on every page

    Hello,

    As the subject says, I would like something to appear on every page throughout my blog. In this it’s a chat box, wordspew. I was supplied with two different pieces of code. Which one do I use and where does it go?

    <?php jal_get_shoutbox(); ?>

    <li><h2>Live Shoutbox</h2>
	<?php jal_get_shoutbox(); ?>
   </li>
