• After I made the “wp-config.php” file when I try to load the “/wp-admin/install.php” file in my browser I get coding and some logos and this

    ‘.__(‘Already Installed’).’

    ‘.__(‘You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.’).’

    ‘);} switch($step) { case 0: case 1: // in case people are directly linking to this display_header(); ?>

    Seeing as I have definitely not installed wordpress before. This is a problem. Anybody got any tips.

  • Check your databases, does it already exist? Maybe try to create another database.

    Is this a fresh install? Completely wipe everything, including users and databases and start fresh.

    It is a completely new database, I am not good at MySQL but will play around with it and see what happens.

    well if it’s your server then install webmin, dealing with mysql becomes the easiest thing with webmin.

    If you are not good with mysql and do not want to mess with the tables, just create a new database. It seems your database is corrupted by something previously.
