Thanks for the feedback everyone! In a past theme, I had navigation along the top, but noticed that visitors were using those links too much and not paying as much attention to the articles. So I moved the page navigation to the footer since they were less important. The articles are getting more hits now!

Nice two-column layout on the inside, nice and clean on the outside.
A navigation bar needed to be on top but as you said you want users to scroll down to get to the navigation, but still for me, you need to put navigation somewhere in the top fold.
Beautiful theme. Its complete in its own sense. I could not find any shortcomings. Very sporty and simple. Nice work
