• Ever since updating to WordPress 2.9, editing a post causes all of the product options offered by eShop to be automatically entered for the post and set to “Array”. I am not editing or listing a product, just updating a normal post and suddenly it shows up in my product list with “array” listed in every possible place for product information. So I end up with a normal, non-product post with no images, listed as a product for $0.00 and $0.00 shipping with no limit on stock. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to update?

Also, for version 4.1.1 I can’t turn of the message at the top of the dashboard that says
“eShop 4.1.1 is now ready to use. You must now deactivate and re-activate the plugin.” I have followed the instructions multiple times but the message won’t go away.

I really like eShop but I would like it even more if I could fix these two things.

  • I haven’t tested/released eshop for 2.9 as yet.

Ok. I’ll just be sure to double check any post revisions for now. Thanks.

actually the upgrade notice not disappearing has been an issue on some sites and is usually indicative of something else not working correctly.

It used to be folder creation, as eshop creates 2 directories within wp-content – so check that those are there.

Just checked and here are the folders I have:

    wp-content
    -plugins
    -eShop
    -authorizenet
    -cash
    -downloads
    -epn
    -files
    -ideallite
    -paypal
    -payson
    -webtopay

I don’t see anything else for eshop. Is something missing?

but has eshop created a eshop_downloads folder in wp-content, and an eshop_files folder in wp-content/uploads?

To add to it, check the permissions on the older too

I don’t see those. The only folders I see for eshop are wp-content–> plugins –> eshop –> etc. (listed above). I don’t see an eshop_downloads folder in wp-content or eshop_files folder in wp-content/uploads. Do I need to manually install these?

I also just installed the plugin update earlier today. I don’t know if that makes a difference, but it still shows the message at the top of the dashboard.

yes create those 2 directories, ensure they are writable (chmod 777) and deactivate/reactivate eShop. If all went well some files ill have been transferred across into those directories.

revisiting this – the array issue is one I have just come across but I currently have no idea why it has appeared – just delete the word array and updating the page fixes it though.

I am having a similar problem. I would really love to get this plugin working and activated. I have perused through google and read every question and forum topic about this same problem.

I’ve tried everything with no luck.

    My problem is this:

When activating eshop, it says its “Activated” BUT, I see no eshop tab in my wordpress admin panel and I am also getting the message at the top: “eShop 4.2.4 is now ready to use. You must now deactivate and re-activate the plugin.”

Deactivating and Reactivating the plugin brings me to my website and displays my error 404 page.

I’ve tried changing permissions, creating those two directories as mentioned above, setting the correct permissions on those. Can anyone help???!!

    Please?

    I am on WP 2.9

if eShop isn’t in the menu then delete the plugin.

then upload a single image via the media tab. If that works try downloading/installing eShop again.

Deleted the plugin and tried uploading an image via the media tab….am getting this message:

    “Error saving media attachment.”

as I thought, this is not an eShop issue. I suggest you check through the forums/codex to see why you are getting that error. Fixing that should enable eShop to be installed.

I created the two directories and deactivated and reactivated the plugin twice but the “4.2.3 now ready to use” message is still at the top and those directories are still empty. As far as I can tell it’s not affecting how the plugin works so I guess it will just have to stay like that, at least for now. Thanks for all the help πŸ™‚
