[Plugin: Daiko’s Text Widget] Cannot Add More Than One Instance of the Widget in WP 2.9

    Hi All,

    I recently upgrade my WP version to 2.9 and at about the same time I had a need to add another Daiko’s Text Widget to my sidebar. Unfortunately, even though I select 2 (or any number greater than 1) and click “Save” in the drop down box at the bottom of the widgets page (titled “How many Daiko’s Text Widgets would you like?”) I only have the single initial instance of the text widget and no others.

    I have tried this on multiple WP sites (all 2.9 now) and all behave the same. This may not be specific to WP 2.9, but that is all I have to test with now. Can anyone else confirm this “bug” or help me see the error of my ways?

    Hi James, I just installed Daiko’s Text Widget today on a 2.9 blog and discovered I have the same problem as you. This problem also seems to work with the Section Specific Text widget so I think it may be a core problem with adding multiples of widgets.

    I hope a solution can be found soon as I rely on Daiko to show my page specific summary in the sidebar.
