• I have never used tags or categories on my blog posts and I’m not really sure what the difference is- I’m trying to make it so I can add a tag to my blog posts to send them to a seperate page as well as the regular feed. So people can view all of my posts that are about say DIY, or Baking one one page with just a click. Here’s an example of what I mean on another blog.

So you can see at the top she has pages for Tutorials, Tunes etc. along with her About me and regular page links. What is the best way to create a similar system to this?

My second question is if there is a theme available that would create that same style of layout, I wasn’t sure what would work with it. My current blog is at http://lickmycupcakes.com and I love the theme I’m using but don’t know if I can move the page tabs along the top or whether I have to completely change the theme to do so.

Thank you guys sooo much, I really hope you can shed a bit of light on it for me! I’m trying to revamp my blog for New Years!

  • There are themes that supports linking pages and categories in the navbar at the top, categories and tags are created so that users of your blog can easily browse through the section they need with ease. rather than looking to a single category that is loaded with everything its easier for the users.

Just look in to the theme area I am sure there are tons of templates that supports navigation function that you are looking for.

Ok, thanks. I did one as a test and see that it links above each post- Im looking for a way to make the category appear as a page link instead. I had a look through the themes but I’m not really sure what I should be looking for to make this possible :/ There are plenty that link the pages along the top but I’m assuming it won’t automatically put the categories there.
