I installed a one-click install from Godaddy’s hosting service. After a successful installation, I logged in and changed my password. I also installed WP Super Cache and Semisecure Login Reimagined plugins.

Since my first successful login, I have logged out and now am looping trying to log in. It continues to give me the error “The password field is empty” over and over. I even tried resetting my password. I am effectively locked out of WordPress.

Anyone else experience this with 2.9?

  • I think the problem is with wp-supercache may be try to take a back up of that folder under wp-contents/plugins and delete the directory from the server and try to login.

After deleting the Semisecure Login Reimagined plugin, I was able to successfully log in. Bummer since I like this plugin.

Disabling Nonce allows me to use this plugin with 2.9.
