• I’ve been running WP 1.2 for a while now, and always used the web interface for posting. But now I thought I’ll check Marsedit out as a blogging tool. It seems like a nice app to use.

But when I try to post from it it converts all the “lesser then” brackets in HTML-tags in the post to HTML-entity ´<´. Resulting in messed up code and no tags working (ie links, subheads and so on).

I tried to post to a WP 1.5 installation I temporarily set up, and that worked fine.

So, I guess there must be something wrong with the xmlrpc.php in 1.2, or some conversion function there.

    Anybody have a clue?

  • Why are you still wanting to run 1.2?

Because the site is not a standard WP installation. I’ve modified the .htaccess and created separate php-documents for different functions in the site.

I tried to upgrade to 1.5, but couldn’t manage to have a separate comments page to the articles (perhaps someone could help with that?) .

You could look at the site at http://www.wangstedt.net (it’s in Swedish).

Besides that, anybody who have insite in where that conversion of tags I’m experiencing originate from? Would really appreciate any tips of where to start looking.

Anybody who can think of a way to solve this?
