hi folks. for reference, my site is : http://www.echoenergies.com
    I host on GoDaddy.com

I recently uploaded wordpress and started uploading themes as well. Everything was going dandy, except the moment I tried to clean out my old website from the same hosting account. (/products, /about, etc were all still there).

So, I logged into my ftp and started hacking away files. I’m pretty sure I only whacked the ones that I needed to, except that I don’t see two key files:
    index.html
    index.php

from reading the error forums, it seems I need these files. outside of the root page, everything else works beautifully. any idea where i can go to download these files to re-install/upload them?

problem solved – anyone who accidentally did this read below:

    1) login to admin
    2) Extend ‘tools’ menu
    3) select ‘upgrade’
    4) select ‘re-install automatically’

the reinstall will replace your index files – making the home page display correctly.
    go team.

What if you don’t have an Upgrade link under tools?

If you are using a WordPress version above 2.7 you can upgrade WordPress in the dashboard ^As use above.

If you are using <2.7 you will need to manually ftp the files to your web host.

    Thanks.
