I found a plugin for changing your CSS by season but nothing for doing the time/date by season.
That’s a neat idea, but challenging. If you write a whole bunch of posts in the winter and few in the spring….well, maybe.
Aaron’s (Technosailor) plugin isn’t set up for 1.5+, either. I was considering trying to make it work in 1.5+, but got thoroughly sidetracked and haven’t even looked at it.
depends on what audience your blog has, but don’t forget the seasons are not the same in the northern and southern hemispheres 😉
Actually, very simple to do.
I just whipped one up that will handle northern hemisphere. I’m not exactly certain how the seasons work in the southern hemisphere, so I haven’t accounted for that. If someone can tell me, I can update it with a switch so you can use it wherever you’re posting from.

Um, they’re the opposite.
Always exactly opposite?
spring = fall
summer = winter
fall= spring
winter=summer
?
Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Season
Ah, so it is.
(I dunno, don’t bug me.)
Okay. Adjusted.
Just in case it gets missed:

I’ve been out of the loop with WordPress for a while, so hopefully its not terribly outdated plugin method.
And consider entering it in the new Plugin contest at WordPress Plugin Contest Wiki Page. This is certainly novel. And thanks for the work!
Thanks, this is pretty neat I think. I’ll be trying it out on one of my sites in the next couple of days – I’ll let you know how it goes!
Uh, I’m having trouble implementing it, and the author hasn’t gotten back to me. Anyone have any good ideas about how I could use this — where I would want to place it — to control the output of an archives list?
