Strange problem… my blog system is down…

    Hi everyone !

    Yesterday and today I was working on my template. Yesterday everything worked fine, but today after a few modifications, suddenly my blog doesn’t respond ! Or… after more than a minute (it feels like a timeout somehow, around 90 secondes), I get the page but instead of the content I get

    Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.

    Also, I can’t access the wp-admin page anymore… I get the login page (after 90 secondes), and when I try to login I get an invalid username error.

    I tried to roll back my database to its state a few days ago when everything was fine, but it doesn’t fix anything. I can’t remember changing anything else than my template. Tomorrow I’ll check the logs my host will send me to see if I changed anything else that I don’t remember.

    By the way, if I try to load a file on the server, it comes up right away, so it seems like it’s not a problem with my host.

    So, somehow I can read my database since my layout is displayed properly, with the right widgets. But it looks like I can’t access the content (posts, users,…). That doesn’t make any sense to me.

    Any one has an idea ??? Experienced something similar ?

    It looks like a problem with your theme. Try to switch to default one and see if you get your posts back.

    Thanks offspring, actually I don’t think it was the theme because I tried to switch the theme, didn’t help.

    But the strange thing, is that the day after, everything was fine ?!?

    I had tried with different browser, different computers… so I guess it had to do with one of my plugin, there are quite many in there 😉 but I don’t really know. Maybe something like Kaltura since it’s a service, maybe they where down and that crashed my WordPress.

    I don’t know, not very comforting, but it works for now so… it’s gonna be a mystery until it happens again 😉
