Fatal error when upgrading to Buddypress

After upgrading to BuddyPress, I get a fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_blog_option() in /home/******/public_html/******/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core.php on line 568

Now I cannot access the front or back-end. How do i fix it? I do have ftp access and while not a coder am not afraid to go in the backend and route around with good instructions!
