WP as CMS…feature posts on home page with thumbnail

I am using WP as a CMS. On my home page I would like to display a selected posts. I would like to be able to select which posts display from the admin panel and by post ID. I would like to enter the post ID, then, on my home page, that post’s title, intro, and thumbnail (first image on post) are displayed automatically.

Are there any plugins that do this well?
