• Firstly, let me say that I think NextGEN is awesome and one of the best plugins there is. I couldn’t live without it on my blog and use it pretty much every day.

This leads me onto my request though: It needs a better workflow.

I find that there’s sometimes too much jumping in and out of menus when you should be able to get somewhere with a simple drop down and click – the flow.

Example 1: I click Manage Gallery and select a gallery. There should be a button to add an addition image to that gallery. Sure I can scan the folder for new images, but that means manually putting an image in that folder.

Example 2: I click Add Gallery/Images type in a name for a new gallery, select Upload Images and upload some images to the gallery – at this point it would be great to have an option to jump into that new gallery. At present I need to click Manage Gallery, search for or use the pages to find the gallery.

Example 3: This is slightly unrelated, but when inserting a single pic into a post the default size of the image is set to 320 x 240. It would be great if it pulled the size from the selected image – this helps with loading pages faster and would mean you wouldn’t need to already know the dimensions of your image.

Don’t take this all as a dig – I think there’s just ways to make this plugin even better than it already is.

    Matt
