There's a problem with some of the links on the WP console. The 'edit' links in the 'Publish' box, for example, don't produce the normal drop-down menus.
Forgive me if I'm doing something dumb - I've checked the Javascript settings and they're all enabled; I've tried several different browsers.
I had the same problem in WP2.8.4, I upgraded hoping the issue would be solved, but it hasn't been
Any help appreciated.

They don't work for me either. I also can't add any tags in the compose mode. Never had a problem before upgrading.

I just had a thought: When you last upgraded WP, did you disable the plugins? I just realised that I didn't. The plugins themselves still work, but is it possible that leaving them enabled _during_ the upgrade process somehow interfered with some aspects of the upgrade itself?

Well, Mariannelacroix (and anyone else), I upgraded to WP2.8.6, disabling all the plugins like we're s'posed to, and it still doesn't work.
Sigh.

Aha - hold on. Do you use podpress version 8.8?
I do.
And I've just disabled it, and everything works fine now.

There's a new version of podpress - 8.8.1. Is that worth trying to see if it solves the problem? I can't quite understand fromthe release notes whether it's intended to do so.

Or maybe we should try to contact the developers at mightyseek.com to persuade them to fix this (otherwise wonderful) plugin.
