I'm using the HoPE theme and would like the index to point to my "about" page. So, for example, when people go to http://www.mysite.com they will land on the about page, rather than the blog page.
Also, I am trying to rename the blog page to something other than "blog". I don't even see that page listed in the pages section of admin. Is there a way to change it?
Thanks!

Update: I figured out how to change the home page to a static page, which is what i was trying to do. I created a new static page, "Welcome", to act as the homepage, and a new page for posts that I named "News". I then went into settings and set the Welcome page to be my static index page, and the news page to be the posts page. However, the original posts page, "blog", is still listed in the menu on the live site. When I click on it I go to the welcome page. I don't see a way to get rid of it. If I go to "edit pages" in admin, "blog" is not listed among the pages.
Thanks!
