   I want to create a static welcome page which first time visitors see, but returning visitors don't. I've seen a plugin WP-Login, but this seems to be more of a gateway for registered visitors. I've seen it on other sites, and tried looking in the documentation and forums, but can't seem to find the same problem.

   Is there a simple solution to this?

   Thanks in advance for any help.

   Try the following Google to look at plug-ins that provide messages for first time visitors:
   site:wordpress.org/extend "first time visitor"
