I have just began a self-hosted blog with WordPress and assigned a username and password. The blog is up and running but whenever I try to log back in to update things it never recognises who I am - username or email address.
This username I've just created to access the forum, any ideas what might be happening?

Greetings, I am Having this exact same problem. I have been using WordPress for over a year now, and all the sudden it is not letting me log in or recognizing my user name or password.
Any Help from this great community would be greatly appreciated.

Also: When I try and tell it that I have forgotten my password to simply recreate one, I enter my e-mail address and get this error:
The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function...
Any help at all would be Great.
Thank you for your Time.

Greetings Mongo,
Well as no one here is going to answer our dilemma I have had a go the best I could and might have a solution:
-Try logging in via your actual blog or site's url - it seems to identify you.
-If you can get back into your control panel you might see an option to update and activate your new SEO plugin. Once you do this press 'enable'
-Once you've managed to log in DON'T logout again, just visit the blog next time and the door will be open.
Oh, and Wordpress Support - THANKS FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
