I recently updated my wordpress to version 2.8.5, when viewed with firefox everything seems to be aligned properly but when I view it using Internet Explorer 8., it seems that it tries to center align my side bar and bottom bar

Would appreciate any suggestions
WP version: 2.8.5
Theme: chaoticsoul_v1.3
You've got losts of code errors [Invalid] Markup Validation of archuletafanscene.com/ - W3C Markup Validator, and those things are centered in IE6 and 7 and Safari as well. You're probably just missing a </center> tag somewhere, but it could be other errors in the validation report. Also try deactivating your plugins for a minute and see if the centering problem goes away; might be a plugin. Are you self-hosted or using wordpress.com hosting?

The problem started when I upgraded to version 2.8.5
My wordpress installation is hosted on hostgator.com but it is a custom installation, meaning they only provide the hosting.
The code errors are in your theme, which someone has edited, which means they were there before your upgrade; you might not have noticed until now. Deactivate your plugins for a minute and see if the centering goes away. If it does, then activate plugins one at a time to see which one is causing the problem. If not, it's still a missing tag and/or code error in one of your theme files.
