Hi, I've been trying to UPLOAD images (photos, logos) to my posts from files in my computer. I keep getting the following message no matter what I've tried so far.
Unable to create directory /home/smartini/smartinitiatives.com/html/wp-content/uploads/2009/11. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
I am far from being an IT pro and don't understand the technical side or lingo, so help would be greatly appreciated in "layman's terms".

chmod these folders to 777 with ftp client or host's file manager
upload an image
chmod folders back to 755
should work from now on

thank you for replying...but i apologize...i have no idea what your message means...(i don't know what ftp client is nor chmod, etc...) please note that i have absolutely no technical or IT background...i just know how to add content...please help. thank you!!!
