[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Picture Upload - ID 513 A failure occured (4 posts)

I've got the NextGEN Gallery installed and configured on my site and I've created albums and uploaded pictures to those albums without any problems, but today I tried to add some additional pictures to one of the albums and I keep getting an ID 513 error message and I'm not sure why or even what it means.

If I navigate to Gallery > Add Gallery/Images and select the 'Upload Images' tab, click Browse and find the image file to upload, choose the correct gallery from the drop-down list and hit the 'Upload Image' button, the file seems to upload but then fails at 'Create new thumbnails' with 'ID 514 A failure occured' - although it does say in the yellow progress bar along the top of the screen '1 picture(s) successfully added'

If I then navigate to Gallery > Manage Gallery and select the gallery that I just tried to upload the new picture to, all of my previous images are shown in thumbnail form but the new image that I just uploaded is there but with a white box and red cross where you would expect to see the thumbnail - and it also shows this if I navigate to the image gallery on the website itself, although clicking the thumbnail image on the website does show the image in full size view.

Everything worked fine for me yesterday when I created the new albums and uploaded my original pictures, but now nothing, all I get is this error and I'm not sure why.

Can someone offer any advice, help or suggestions what might be wrong please - I'm ever so slightly scratching my head now.

    Many thanks in advance
    Wayne

Sorry padma_pearl I'm still facing the same problem and haven't found a solution yet. If you do happen to find a cause and a solution, would you be kind enough to post it here please so myself, and others can benefit from it. I will do the same if I find a fix.

    Many thanks

    Hi,
seems the problem is the flash upload method.
Using the standard one images are uploaded and thumb created.

But I'm still thinking to downgrade to 1.3.6 because to many problem with 1.4

    thx,
    Bags
