Title says it all. I noticed there has been an wordpress update. I cant use the media loader so I had to make all the changes via html got me through. I did do the wordpress internal update on the tools page it says update was succesful.
Could someone shed recent light on why i cant post a new blog entry. it does not save a draft preview or complete and the entry is poof gone. thanks
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Same trouble here--started a few days ago. Was using 2.8.4, now upgraded to 2.8.5 with same problem. Followed @esmi's suggestion to disable all plugins--no help. I can edit existing posts, but cannot add any new ones. When I click the Publish or Save Draft buttons, WP just goes back to the Posts main page without saving my post!!

Yeah did all esmi recommended and still not jivin'. This is not good. Any other suggestions? thanks
@blais1: what do you mean when you say that you can't use the media uploader? Do you get any errors? What PHP version are you using?
