This is a new blog site without any content at the moment. Our service provider allowed us to install 2.2.3, but we later decided to upgrade to 2.8.5 but wordpress will not load now.
Our blog should load from this link: http://www.responsiblenvironments.com/wordpress
But it stays at our generic index.html static page.
When we used 2.2.3 there were no problems with the file configurations.
Is there a step I missed in the upgrade process?
I have tired changing our initial links to redirect to index.php but nothing helps.

Posted 3 weeks ago #Upgrading from 2.2.3 requires an incremental upgrade so that the database gets properly upgraded. You shouldn't even think about running anything less then 2.8.5, so if you are doing a new install, I'd delete everything and start from scratch with 2.8.5. Did you run a phased upgrade? Upgrading from 2.2.3 to 2.8.5 really requires a number of smaller upgrades rather than a single one.
