   Help I am newbie/idiot.
   I set up WP about a year ago and now I can't login in.
   I tried to get the password mailed to me by signing in as user admin.
   And WP tells me it emailed the new password but I never get it.

   I went to my server WP folder and opened the wp-config.php file and tried to use the user and password in that file -- it didn't work.

   What do I do next

   scroll down to the 'Through phpMyAdmin' & 'Using the Emergency Password Reset Script' sections & use the one you prefer.

   As you will be on an old version, upgrade to the latest version asap.
