I had a blog through WP admin. Not realizing the consequences, I changed the WP blog URL from http://www.the2ndmouseshoppe.com to http://www.bestnaturalskincare.com. Because of this I am no longer able to log into WP admin. What can I do?

Hi. I did what was instructed but now I'm getting this message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/karen/public_html/wp-config.php on line 25

    Could you please help?

    Thanks.

Take a copy of your wp-config.php file and keep it safe, just in case.

Download a fresh copy of WordPress:
    http://wordpress.org/download/

Open the wp-config-sample.php file. Copy all the database details into from your existing wp-config.php flie - ie your db username and password etc. Copy and paste the output of this into it too:
    http://api.wordpress.org/secret-key/1.1/

Then save it as wp-config.php and re-upload it to your site with your FTP program in ascii mode.

This is so frustrating. I'm new at this obviously. I did as you instructed but now I'm getting this message:

    Error establishing a database connection

I've checked and rechecked my db name, user name and password.

So, now what am I doing wrong?

You've definitely, definitely, copied all the required bits from your original wp-config.php over to the new one correctly and uploaded it to the correct folder?

Have you done anything else, beyond what you described in your original post?

Might be worth speaking to your host to see if they've got any mysql issues at the moment.

I copied all the required bits, did what was instructed and got the Error establishing a database connection message. I've since gone and pretty much messed everything up. My mysql isn't having any issues, I am. Would mysql be able to reconnect?

Is there a way I can delete WP completely and start over using the same domain name?

Start over and try again editing a fresh copy of wp-config.php. Do not edit your old wp-config.php or copy and paste from it. Also, do not use MS Word for editing, use a plain text editor instead.

I tried and get the same message as in my 2nd post. My server advised to go to mydigitallife and try to reclaim my original url. I'm going to try that today.

    Thanks

Thank you, everyone, for trying to guide me through this. My problem has been resolved with the help of my server.

    Thanks again,
