    Hello everyone,

I would very much like some help and suggestions from all you WP guru's!

I am about to set up a members web site that will host a lot of video tutorials. I currently have a text/image based Joomla website (www.drumlessonsbeginner.com) but am in need of expanding to a new multi-media educational site.

The reason I mention this is because at the moment I am considering WP to be a better option for my site. I am planning to use the Thesis theme which seems to be a popular paid choice, it's stable and user friendly. I have also come across a module called wishlistmember that will handle the membership section, I hope?

What I would like to know is can WP be used for a video heavy membership website with possibly 50-100+ video tutorials that need to be laid out in a intuitive and educational way? Or should I be sticking to Joomla? or am I just nuts doing this on my own??!!

I have a hostgator account currently for my Joomla site.

Many thanks for any input it is really appreciated.

the possibility to manage properly lots of video, sounf or image files, is not to the CMS; it depends mainly from the server you are hosted, bandwith, cpu speed and usage, and so on.

    Thanks for you response wordprest.

I had thought that this would probably be the case. I have a host gator baby account which allows for 'Unlimited Disk Space' and 'Unlimited Bandwidth' although I have heard this is somewhat of a misnomer?

Will this work for me ok?

Also I assume from the response that WP would be a good platform to use?

    regards

Worpress appears to be good, altough I never head experience with a certain number of media files. As CMS it should work fine I guess, but the real streaming performance is given by server features. Unlimited doesn't exist; anyway there will be some kind of limitation, so evaluate this properly; better spend some money more than have a misfunctioning site...
