   Hi,

   I've got a slightly odd question. Is there any way of natively or any plugins available that can make a post persist in archives over a number of days?

   At first the reason why you'd want to do that doesn't make sense for wordpress, but I'm building templates wherein each day is a "today's edition" (get todays date and only show posts in date range), and the archive then is yesterdays edition and so forth, each edition driven by the archive date. Now some stories can have longevity over a number of days, for reasons of higher public interest in the story (you'd want to persist a story for a higher readership) but without doing it as a special feature and I think this is why the site is a lot trickier to program for. I'd like to run a post over a number of days say 3 days and have it appear in the archives for three days too, almost needing a secondary date system.

   Before embarking on writing a plugin, is something already out there to do this?
