   Is ist easily possible to change name of index.php to somthing else?

   I'm sure it could be done with enough work but just how much work to keep everything working?

   Why do you want to change it? I'm just curious.

   If you edit your .htaccess file to have this:
   DirectoryIndex whatever.php

   You could do it, but ... I'm not really sure why. If you have WordPress in it's own subfolder, this would probably work best. I have no idea of the ramifications down the line.
