I have GD Press Tools and the Simple Widgets both installed and have noticed that the views counter is inaccurate. And it's not just a problem of undercounts, it is wrong viewcounts as well. While I love the functionality of both plugins in general, the problem with this particular feature is that posts which are not popular are getting lots of viewcounts erroneously.
I use Hypercache, by the way, so I am sure this has something to do with it. But WP-PostViews has a much more accurate counter. Any thoughts as to what's happening?

Inaccurate counts can be caused by cache plugins. I didn't noticed that views are not counted properly.
Anyway, this will be mostly rewritten due to slow queries for blog with couple of thousands posts. I will try to see if there is any more problems that can cause counter problems.

Yes, I suspected the caching was part of the deal. The discrepancy in WP-PostViews vs. the Popular Posts counter does lead to believe there may be something else there as well. Nevertheless, hats off on the other features of the two plugins. I love them.
