Is my video embedded slowing my site down?

I uploaded a video to my site using the URL link then followed the video embedder plugin steps to post video. Some of the people that have visited my site are telling me the video won’t play or it only plays for two seconds. I can’t figure out why this is happening.
Can someone please help me with ideas on how to fix it?
