   So the post is formatted correctly, with headings and carriage returns, but then the teaser it generates takes out all of the formatting and makes it into one block of text. How do I maintain formatting in the teaser?

   Example:

   The first few lines of my post are:

   By FirstName LastName
   Date

   Heading 1 (bold)
   Text....

   Then in the teaser for the post, this becomes:

   By FirstName LastName Date Heading 1 (unbolded) Text

   You'd have to put it manually into the excerpt field in the post. The auto excerpt strips formatting.

   Thanks, I got it to bold in the excerpt field. But it doesn't work for adding returns...the
   tag in the excerpt does nothing. How do I format returns in the excerpt?
