   I am blogging at sportinglandmarks.co.uk using the Panorama theme, however I was experiencing similar issues when I was using Caribou.

   My problem may arise from my limited technical/coding knowledge in which case I appologise up front, but would appreciate any guidance anyone more skilled can offer.

   In the sidebar on the right-hand side of public view of the site (which should, it appears, come under the control of the widgets option in the Appearance menu)the first element is Blogroll. I don't feel this is particularly relevant to my audience. Is it possible to remove this or demote it to the bottom of the column? (When I look at the widgets menu in the back office, I have no widgets listed as being present under the sidebar header.)

   Similarly the Meta widget is also visible above the calendar function. I can see more use for this than the blogroll widget, but would still like to move it down to the bottom of the sidebar. Again, any tips?

   When no widgets are in use the code for what appears in the sidebar is found in theme file sidebar.php. Some themes have more than one sidebar file, in which case you have to find which one has the code in it. You delete the code for what you don't want.

   In most themes, when you activate a widget on a sidebar it prevents any code in the corresponding sidebar file from being executed. So you might try turning on a widget and see if that eliminates the sections you don't want.

   Dear Stvwlf

   Thanks for the guidance. By dropping some widgets into the sidebar it worked a treat - thanks.

   Caribou offers several sidebars so when I had previously tried dropping widgets in, I was getting duplicates because I couldn't work out how to remove the default widgets.

   Problem sorted - thanks.
