   Hi,

   I am brand new to Wordpress as I usually use other platforms and I am finding EXTREMELY difficult to navigate. I am trying it out and have not downloaded but used the Wordpress hosted version of a blog site, chose a theme etc. My question is will Google crawl a site that ends in .wordpress.com? I submitted the site directly to Google a few days ago but when I checked, it didn't look as though it was picked up yet.

   Type your site URL in Google search box and check if that particular site being cached by Google.

   Yes, that is what I did, but I didn't see it. That is what made me wonder about Google and Wordpress Hosted (again, it is not on my server). Do you know if it still picks it up?

   Self-hosted brand new blog ( from my WP experience ) takes up to one month to get indexed by Google.

   It is NOT self-hosted. It is hosted by Wordpress. What is your experience w/ that and getting crawled? I just didn't want to pay for a domain while I am still learning Wordpress etc.
