   Can I get my posts to display like the "latest gaming news" section of this website?

   Those are just the last posts, are they not?
   Or do you mean the excerpts? That's easy, in the index.php of your theme replace the_content by the_excerpt (of course there are also plugins that can do this for you).

   Yes its just latest posts but he has the little pictures on the left hand side which are not included in the post. Also has the heading of the post on the top beside the image...

   Any way of achieving that?

   I see what you mean. Never tried it, but there are plugins that seem to do something like that.
