  • I was switching themes while Super Cache was on and everything went blank. I can’t even get back to my dashboard. I’m pretty sure it is the super cache plugin. I should of disabled before I switched themes.

What should I do? Should I go to the server side and manually remove WP Super Cache? Or will that make things worse?

  • Did you check your PHP error log?

    This happened to me.

Not quite sure how to check my PHP error log.

How do I roll it back, without having access to the dashboard?

I tried deleting the super-cache plugin folder, via ftp, but my site is still blank.

I don’t know how to get it back.

    Help!!!

Follow the instructions in the readme.txt under the heading, “If all else fails”. That will uninstall the plugin completely but only if you follow and do each step.

    Thanks for that advice donncha.

Unfortunately, it seems I am still getting a blank page for my entire site.

    Any more ideas/tips? =(

There’s a syntax error somewhere in one of the files you edited. It should show up in the PHP error log so try again to find it as it’ll point you directly at the problem.

Just went through the same problem as you guys. For me (can’t say it is the solution for everybody) it turned out to be a problem with the PHP caching plugin APC. Switched to eAccelerator and it worked like a charm.

Look at the Apache error logs and if you have similar errors like I did, my fix might work for you: WP Super Cache White (Blank) Page Problem. FIXED!

Having the same problem and not terribly familiar with Apache error logs (but guess I need to learn). Any word is this is something on the the WP Super Cache development roadmap to address?

jaybna – check out the readme.txt as there are loads of troubleshooting tips there to help you.

This plugin ruined my site by making every page blank. I only have access to my dashboard. I followed every step I could find on the plugin site and through google and it has had no effect. I’ve removed every trace from my server and still everything is blank. I’m wondering if I will have to build a whole new site because there seems no way to get my current one working.
