[Plugin: AmR iCal Events List] No Events Found Within Start & End Dates (4 posts)

    After the upgrade to 2.8.5, I am now getting a "No Events Found" message. It is also showing the parameters, like this:

    * Start date: 2009-10-27T00:00:00+00:00 Etc/UTC
    * End date: 2010-01-25T00:00:00+00:00 Etc/UTC
    * Maximum days to show: 90
    * Maximum events to show: 6

    This may be because there actually ARE no events within the specified time periods, but why is it displaying all the parameters? I can live with a "No Events Found" if there aren't any, but I don't want viewers seeing all that other mess.

    Please advise if this is a conflict with the new version or a glitch in the plugin when there are no events, and what may be done to correct.

    Thanks for your help!

    Update - it still does this even when events are added to the calendar. Something is definitely not working.

    1) have you refreshed the cache? http://icalevents.anmari.com/1814-refresh-calendar-if-new-dates-not-showing/

    2) Do the events you have added fall within the parameters you have set? This was the primary reason for having the no events parameters listed - people did not seem to realise that if the parameters said 30 days and the event was in 2 months time, then it would not be listed.

    Since almost all folks using the event plugin actually had at least some events to list, it is mainly a matter of tailoring the parameters to the frequency of their updates - someone with multiple events per day would have a low number for efficiency, others with maybe only 1 or 2 a month may go for 60 or 90 days. 99% of the time, the no events message and the parameters would never be listed, except perhaps while testing.

    If you still believe there is a problem, please list your webpage where the calendar or widget is being used.

    I did refresh the cache, and the events did fall within the set parameters. Unfortunately, I had to go with another plugin, as this is for a friend who is launching in the next day or two. So I no longer have it installed.

    Sorry! Hopefully it was an isolated incident and others will not have this problem.
