justnHere's the backstory: Basically automatic upgrades wouldn't work for me. They would just hang saying that 2.8.5 is downloading. No matter how long I waited it would do nothing more. I got fed up and decided to attempt a manual upgrade. Now, I have never upgraded Wordpress before so I am very unfamiliar as to how this process should go. I backed up my database and content and replaced every file and folder of my Wordpress install except for my plugin and theme folders. When I pointed my browser to /wp-admin/upgrade.php I was told my database was already up to date and I carried on.
Now, I went to edit a post and the content doesn't show up, however all of my content appears to still be on my blog. I'm pretty sure its due to my install not completing this upgrade so any help would be awesome!
