How to remove password protection from Forms page (2 posts)

I am updating the website for a local non-profit organization (skylineliteracy.org). I have never used WordPress before and honestly am trying to figure it out on the fly.

Somehow, I have accidentally password-protected the forms page. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how I did this. Since one of the forms is requesting volunteers, the page absolutely cannot be password-protected. The text reads:

"The server skylineliteracy.org at Forms Generator requires a username and password.
Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection)."

Here is the interesting part: if you click on "cancel" it bypasses the password protection and takes you directly to the page anyway. So, it's not truly password protected. BUT, it would deter users who didn't know that.

Any ideas of how to fix this problem? Please help!

    Hi

Open the page in question up in the Page editor in the Admin section

To the right, in the Publish section, click where it says "Visibility".
See if you have Password Protected selected - if so change it to Public. Click OK and then update the page.
