• I run a joomla website and I want to convert it into a WordPress website. What’s the quickest way to do it? Anyone?

  • A friend used this script – http://azeemkhan.info/2008/joomla2wordpress-import-wizard-v3/ to import Joomla content to WordPress 2.7 then just upgraded the WP install to latest version. Good luck.

    I can’t get past step 1:

    Step One

Okay, we’re connected to the Joomla/Mambo database.

Now, we need to select the method you want to use to import your articles or links. (You should automatically advance to the next step, but if it doesn’t you can click the button.)
    Query failed

    SELECT * FROM mos_sections

I’m trying to go from Joomla! 1.0.13 -> WP 2.9.2, bringing data from joomla at http://PerfumeCritic.com/joomla2 to wp at http://PerfumeCritic.com.

I tried using the script on WP 2.7. It kind of imports, but not the whole article and also it fails. Below are a few things which happen during import:

    1) The script seems to “completely(1)” import articles from only a couple of Joomla categories. For the others, it fails somewhere in between with a message “Query Failed”.

    2) When I meant ‘completely’ in the previous point, I am able to see the complete article being imported in the script page once it has run. But when I check in my WP admin, I can only see a part of the article.

I really have no idea where the issue is and why the script is failing for me. Any help is appreciated.

PS: I don’t mind paying someone if they are willing to get it done for me.
