Hello Sir,
Hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I have a doubt and I need your precious support on this:
Today Only I updated a Post in My Blog at around 2:40 PM IST and my XML Sitemap shows Time as follows:
<url>
<loc>http://mrintech.com/ewebguru-web-hosting-review-customer-experience-testimonial</loc>
<lastmod>2009-10-22T09:08:08+00:00</lastmod>
<changefreq>monthly</changefreq>
<priority>0.8</priority>
</url>
It's showing 22-October-2009, 09:08 (AM). Is this alright? I am publishing Post with respect to Indian Standard Time (IST), but the Sitemap is showing time earlier than the IST Timing.
Kindly tell me what I have to change from Wordpress Options? I will be very grateful to you :)
With Best Wishes :)

Hi,
the time in the sitemap is always converted to UTC/GMT (+/-0). Would that match the difference to IST?
Best regards,
Arne

Hello Sir,
Thanks for your Reply. IST Timings are GMT+5:30 Hours ( http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=176 )
Kindly Tell me what to change. I will be very grateful to you :)
Wishes :)
Hi,
you don't need to change anything, everything is correct :-)
You can compare the timezones here:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converted.html?month=10&day=22&year=2009&hour=14&min=40&sec=0&p1=176&p2=0
Your sitemap contains the (correct) UTC/GMT time. Google and other search engines only accept the time in GMT/UTC, thats why its calculated from IST to UTC/GMT.
Greetings,
Arne
