Is there a way for the Flexx Theme featured images to be automatically resized to fit the screen...or are there strict size conventions that must be adhered to...total newbie so any help is greatly appreciated:)

that's a $$$ theme so can't download and look - but does it use the Featured Content Galley plugin or what?

If you purchased this theme from the iThemes site, that gives you access to their support forum. Asking support questions here for commercial themes makes me assume you obtained the theme through other means.
